Dallas / Fort worth
Voting up & down the ballot.
Focus on energizing Asian & South Asian voters to help flip the Senate blue. Primary run-offs are on July 14, 2020; the Democratic Senate nominee run-off is between Royce West and MJ Hegar. Bringing Asian voters’ attention to the Senate race, will also help us focus their attention on races up & down the ballot, which is equally important.
Key Texas races.
Focus on key races in Texas to help change the Texas landscape to blue and support changes in future races. Example – The Supreme Court of Texas does not have any liberal Justices; All current Justices have at one time been appointed to the post by a conservative governor. In addition to the Supreme, there are 9 key races in Texas ranging from State Representative, State Senator, US House of Representatives, and US Senator.
Win Texas 38 Electoral College Votes.
Winning Texas’ Electoral College votes would make the path to the White House easier for the Democratic nominee.
We will utilize every tool we can to activate voters and get them to the polls. We intend to work with the TDP, our sister chapters in Austin & Houston, as well as our networks to achieve these goals.

Why you should join us
Texas has typically been a red state, but Dallas County has been and is blue. The shock from the 2016 drove many hibernating activists to become woke and helped turn Tarrant county blue after many, many years. Dallas county has been a solid blue for many election cycles and continues to stay a solid blue.
The DFW Chapter started in 2020 but is already off and working on GOTV initiatives, while the core team also works on our goals and key metrics. Our highly experienced core team has decades of political activism experience and has connections with key elected leaders, candidates, and voters. Piggybacking off the work the core team has already done with the South Asian community and DFWforBeto, we will utilize our connections to help activate South Asians and Asians to the polls.
The DFW Metroplex is made up of Dallas, Collin, Denton, & Tarrant counties. This Metroplex holds 23% of the total registered voters in Texas, in addition, this area has over 450K Asian Americans, making this a pivotal area of Texas in our work to turn TX blue.
